I have been a photocrati and nextgen client for several years and now have the latest updates of each. I’m still having the same problem I’ve had – only 20 images are showing up and no pagination. (Based on some earlier suggestions, I have tried deactivaing jetpack which made absolutely no difference). Please help! site is jessicalevant.com -any of the portfolio galleries.

Actually – I got it to show more, but it will not paginate – so I still need help! I’d like to show fewer images on a page and have multiple pages, but can’t get it to do that.

I apologize if you’ve already tried this, but if you go to Gallery -> Gallery Settings -> NextGEN Basic Thumbnails, you’ll see a setting for “Images per page.” Setting to 0 will show all images, any other number you enter will limit the number of images to that number.

You can also specify how many columns you want. If you set the number of images to less than the total # of images you have, then pagination should happen automatically. For example, if you set Images per page to 8 and you have 24 images total, you’ll automatically get 3 pages of 8 images each.

@singer74 – Thanks for the suggestions!

@jlevant@singer74’s suggestions should work if you are using the NextGEN Gallery functionality, but if you are using the Photocrati theme’s gallery functionality then I would suggest contacting [email protected] for more help if this is theme related.

    Thanks!

Thank you singer74. I had done all that – several times over, thinking if I undid it and then redid it etc etc. Even changed to image gallery and then back to thumbs – in that case, it did not change at all. It’s now set for 60 photos per page now since I cannot get it to paginate – this is not the solution I want.

@plugin author – I am using nextgen galleries, not the theme gallery. And I believe I have contacted support@photocrati and received no response.

I shuld mention, I am also using it on a client site and it works just fine. Same versions of WordPress and Nextgen gallery….

@jlevant – If NextGEN Gallery is working fine on one site and not on another then the first thing to do is compare the differences and see if that is where the issue is being derived from.

I have and can’t figure it out. Pretty much the same plugins (both have jetpack, WP to Twitter, anti-spam and nextgen. I believe the pagination was working in the problem site before the latest nextgen update. Two other plugins were added after the gallery pagination issue occurred, so can’t be the cause of it.

@jlevant – Are they using the same theme? … and if there are any plugins on the non-working site that are not on the working site you should start with deactivating those and see if this sorts itself out.

Well, that was interesting. I deactivated the ‘custom sidebars’ plugin, and then the pagination worked. Then I reactivated it – and the pagination still works! Any explanation would be much appreciated!

FYA, the ‘non-working’ site is using the Photocrati theme; the other is using twentytwelve.

@jlevant – That is very interesting, especially since we do not have any open issues we are aware of between the current versions of our products.

Deactivating and re-activating the “custom sidebars” plugin may just have allowed the correct sequence of events to take place in the code execution although I cannot say for certain as I do not know what “custom sidebars” plugin you are referring to.

It’s just called ‘custom sidebars’ by wdmudev. Allows you to create individual sidebars for different pages. I use it on lots of sites. Anyway, thanks for hanging with me on this. Over and out.
