    @bergloewe – Looking at the page source of your site shows many active plugins but it could also be a conflict with the current theme as well. Do you still see this issue if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

    Hi, thank you very much for that hint; after I switch to the 2014-theme the described problems are gone.
    But anyway I have to use the “Branford Magazine”-theme for several reasons. And really I tested the NextGEN after deactivating all other plugins and had the same result. Actually only five plugins are active:
    – 2 Click Social Media Buttons
    – Contact Form 7
    – NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
    – PRiNZ Widget Factory (a plugin by the theme)
    – WordPress SEO
    I even deactivated them with no better result. And before I upgraded the gallery worked preety good.
    Now what shall I do???

    Hi Cais.

    Now I deleted NextGEN completely and all other plugins are running like never before!!!
    Now I try to reinstall NextGEN wondering what will happen!
    I keep you informed.

    Regards

    @bergloewe – Thanks for letting us know you see NextGEN Gallery working fine with Twenty Fourteen on your site, perhaps your theme author can offer some insight into why it does not work with their theme?

    Hi again,

    NextGEN is reinstalled and activated;
    same result as before:
    – Ajax Event Calendar doesn’t display the calender any more;
    – images in the gallery open in the same browser-window, no gallery funcions.

    Please help!

    @bergloewe – Is this with the “Brantford Magazine” or a different theme?

    @bergloewe – Have you contacted the theme author to see if they are working on any updates, especially ones that may affect this issue?

    – Cais.

    @thejorfito – You should create your own issue as it does not appear related to the OP.

    @bergloewe – Thanks! If you want, you are welcome to submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with their reply so if there is anything we can help with it will be better tracked in our internal notes.

    thanx for the hint with the Bug Report. In the meantime I got back to Version 1.9.13 – now all the other plugins are working well but NGG still opens the gallery pictures in the same browser window. No idea what to do now, because there are more than 700 images in 24 different galeries.

    best regards
