gallery viewing software compatible with wordpress

phase 2 of my plan was to use indexhibit to also add a projects page where i would showcase a variety of projects that would have numerous images etc.

unfortunetly this looks like its going to be very hard and you can only integrate using an iframe (which i don’t want to do)

can anyone recommend any good gallery type software with a good back end that can be used to exhibit projects and numerous images that is compatible with wordpress?
