Gallery update via FTP not working anymore

Can you explain what your issue is? I am not sure what problem you are having.

If you uninstall Sunshine and re-install it, you should not lose any settings or galleries.

the issue is that i have added more photos to the FTP folde using FileZilla and when i click “update” on the gallery it only says “gallery updated” without checking for the other new photos as it did before.

And if i check there are no new photos. Can i send you a screenshot in any way?
I have tryied deactivating, removing the plug-in and re-installing (as you said) but it didn’t work.

When you do this, are you removing and then adding images? The FTP importer will only try to import new images if it sees there are _more images_ – so if you remove 2 images and then add 2 images you have the same total number of images and the importer will not run.

If you are changing photos, I highly recommend using the browser upload instead of trying to do it via FTP. FTP image management is not nearly as reliable as the browser image management.

No i was simply adding new images using FTP because Filezilla checks the folder in pairs (client and server) and allow me to add only new photos by auto selecting theme in a big list (since i add them in bulk i am more confortable having an automated selection like this).

I have tried the “direct upload” as you said and it has uploaded the photos and updated the gallery BUT the counter of images in “FTP images folder” is stuck at 67 images and now they are 88. If i check in the Filezilla, i see that the gallery folder has no new images.

Has Sunshine changed the folder somehow without any GUI notification or display?!
I think there is a bug in that, please help me fix it or may be i am wrong and just explain me please.

UPDATE: i have seen that there is a new folder aside mine (it has a number as name) and it has all the 88 photos and it is not listed in the “FTP images folder” option

Uploading via browser does not add the files to the folder you made yourself via FTP. The recommended method for uploading is via browser, one reason being that Sunshine actually takes the files from your FTP folder and _copies_ them to its own folder – that means two copies of a single image on your server eating up more file storage space. There are technical and logistical reasons why it works this way.

Ok i will follow the suggested way and delete my new created folder.
