Gallery Thumbnails Not Square

    Gallery image thumbnails are showing proportional images. The gallery is showing the entire proportional image, all at the same width, but with variations in height depending on the original dimensions.

    I’ve seen where two other posts have addressed this with the resulting answer being that the original image must be a certain size. My images are 800px at their shortest dimension.

    “Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)” is checked under my media settings, and, “Square” is my thumbnail shape in Gallery Editor and default.

    Resolved by deactivating Photon in Jetpack.

    There is a conflict with the Jetpack plugin setting “Photon”. Once I deactivated Photon the images began displaying correctly.
