Not everyone at once here! ??

But seriously, I would be very grateful for any tip to how I could solve this. ??

Do you mean inside an album, how do you make the gallery name appear?

I looked at your page and want to make sure that I know what you are talking about. It appears you have an Album with 4 different galleries in it. Correct?

@marteens, Enlarge the size of thumbnails would be a good start

    Thanks for answering ??

@qvmarine, sorry if my question wasn’t clear, I’ll try to explain better: I am talking about the title of the albums or galleries shown under their preview image. The link to my site takes you directly to a page with the problem. The page is an album with 3 galleries and one sub-album, and their titles are for some reason not fully shown. Like if I had an album or a gallery named “This is the full title”, it would only be showing “This is…”. It can be a bit tricky to find the photos you’re looking for without the full titles. ??

@tizz, I tried changing the thumbnail size of a photo that i use like a preview image for a gallery. But the gallery thumbnail didn’t change size, it only changed size inside the gallery where the thumbnails of all the photos are. Do you know how I can change the size of the thumbnails to my albums and galleries? Preferably without changing the thumbnails to all the other photos. ??

@marteens – If you want to change the size of the thumbnails an album uses then you will need to over-ride those settings when you insert the album via the ATP (green button).

If you are using shortcode structures for your albums you will need to change the default thumbnail size under Gallery > Other Options > Image Options which would mean you would also need to over-ride other displays under Gallery > Gallery Settings.

You may also need to clear the image cache after making these changes to see the effects immediately under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous.

    Thanks!

    @marteens

So I built an album with three galleries in it.

I put the following on a page

    [album id=1 template=compact]

and I got a page like yours. But my album names are spelled out, but weirdly word wrap below the tumbnail, I don’t get the ellipsis (…) after the name like you do.

When I put the page as

    [album id=1 template=extend]

then I get a page with the “thumbnail” and the long description. I think the extend version looks cool, but I can see that you are trying to put the gallery thumbnails across the top of your page, so that’s not going to work for you.

For what it’s worth I have the default thumbnail sizes set.

Can you post what you put on the page to show the album?

Sorry that I’m not being much help to you.

@marteens – The “…” (ellipsis) is created by the dotdotdot.js script but I also rarely see it in testing. I’m wondering it you could temporarily switch to a few of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if you see this same effect. I do not in my testing but would like to confirm you do or do not see it as well.

    Thanks!

@photocrati – I tried it with the Twenty Fourteen theme, and the ellipsis disappeared just like you said.

@qvmarine – Thank you! I was just using
    [album id=1]
I didn’t even know that there where other options to that. I totally agree with you that
    [album id=1 template=extend]
looks very cool. It actually makes my ellipsis-problem go away as well, so I think you just resolved my problem ?? Thanks again!

@marteens – This would definitely point to something with your current theme as the item to be addressed. What specifically I cannot say for certain but I would most likely start with the elements around the caption text that you theme also styles such as the <h4> tag.

    @marteens

Happy to help, Not everyone at once here! ?? made me laugh so I thought I’d spend a few moments to try to help out.

NextGenGallery has some of the better plugin documentation out there, I found some other cool things I could do. Remember, Mom always says “RTFM”.

    Glad it worked out!

How you change for to show the title of the gallery in the album?

    Thanks!

@robertosalemi, your question has nothing to do with this topic, as it is evident in this topic opened by you at the same time.
Here the matter was how to avoid the ellipsis in the compact album title, displaying in some theme, while you are interested in how to show the title of the gallery in the gallery page.

PS: Album e gallerie sono due cose diverse, te lo spiegai parecchi mesi fa sul forum italiano e dicesti di saperlo.
