    Hi everyone:
a new version was released adressing the issue.
I checked against dev environment and it worked smoothly.

    Please check this update.
    NOTICE that:
    * you need to navigate on plugin page to make the upgrade, for example, go to ‘Overview’ . An upgrade page will be shown , click to confirm the update. It is very fast and easy.
    * Be careful if you are using a cache plugin. Refresh cache to reload your galleries.
    * Ctl-F5 to hard-reload your galleries from the browser.

Thanks to Niko for providing a fast workaround(!).

Recommendations are based on the tests I made. Fix seems to fail at first, but after refreshing cache, everything went back to normal.

    Thank you all.

    Hi niknetniko and WPReady,

I didn’t know that I need a database upgrade, I’ve just quickly checked the website. I reverted back, updated again to 1.9.23 and did the database upgrade this time in the Galleries menu. It worked!

The new version works, thank you!

Yep, updated to the latest version. Also updated database, this is necessary. Without that, you will see the issues as mentioned…
    Thx!

thanks for the new update – it worked !!

I’m on v1.9.23 & I’m getting the thumbnails all in one column & everything looks like crap.
So what do I do now to fix this other then rolling back

oh NVM mind I did not do the DB upgrade.
    all is good now ??

How do i perform the database upgrade?

    Thanks.

    Never mind, found it.

    Works fine, thanks.
Some translated texts that worked with some earlier version do not seem to work anymore, at least:
    – on overview page the text after “Pay Attention” ie. “third parties plugins…”
    – also on overview page the text under “Translation” – ie. “This translation is not yet updated for Version 1.9.0…”

I upgraded to 1.9.21 to ..23, did the database upgrade, cleared the cache and the CSS formats are all still a bit wonky. I don’t get the one-column issue but the CSS doesn’t render right at all in the admin interface (same on IE11 and Firefox).

Luckily only running 1.9.21 on my public system, so I’ll wait till a proper fix is out since .23 doesn’t seem to correct it all.

Also running .23 and it has not changed anything. I dont recall getting a message to upgrade the DB. Is there a way around this?

    Please check following things:
    – Make sure to go the NextCellent Overview screen to get the message.
    – Make sure there is a nggallery.css file in the /css folder in the nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy folder.

Really strange. I copied the nggallery.css file into the directory of the theme of the website itself and it works. Problem solved.

    Thanks.

One last issue which is even stranger and it might help others. When the insert code [nngallery=3] as an example is in plain text it also shows in a single row. When I bold it then it works correctly. So I am going through the website checking which does not show and which posts need to be bolded.
