All of the thumbnail images in my product gallery/category pages are a little bit blurry.

The original images are high-res, and the larger versions of these images on the single product pages appear crisp and sharp.

I’ve read some suggestions to change the thumbnail size in the woocommerce customize menu, but it doesn’t seem to have any affect (at least not in real time.)

Seems like a very common problem. Any fixes for this?

  • Hi

WordPress uses RGB color space. When you upload your image, WordPress creates several image sizes. These images use RGB color space which has less colors than Adobe’s RGB format.

The easiest way to fix this is by converting your images to RGB color space before uploading them to WordPress. This can be easily done using Adobe Photoshop.

    Good luck

    Hello,

Thanks for the suggestion. I can’t imagine the “easiest” way to solve this very common problem is to photoshop and re-upload every image on my site.

    Anybody have another suggestion?

    You’re welcome.

    Anyway
WordPress has changed all images to what I said at the time of upload and if you have another solution (which I don’t think so) you will need to re-upload the images

    Good luck

So you’re telling me that at some point every webmaster using woocommerce not only had to edit and re-upload every thumbnail on their site, but now have to photoshop every image going forward prior to upload?

    I just find that unlikely.

Clearly I don’t have any other ideas, but somebody must surely know a fix that doesn’t require hours of editing and uploading photos one by one.
