    Hi

I have recently start using Elementor plugin. I love this plugin. It’s so easy to use and there are so many options. I’m creating a gallery and would like to have 3 thumbnails 300 x 300 (square) in a row without spacing between the images. Is this possible ? If I choose medium 300 x 300 with 3 columns then I’m getting spacing between the images which which I can’t remove. If I choose mediums size then the images will be shown in original ratio which I don’t want either since I want them all squared. The gallery is under the section different styles in the website https://hazelweddingart.com/.

    Hope someone can help.

    Thanks,
    Hazy

  • Padding and margins settings in the advanced section of your image widget will allow you to squeeze the images together. You can set these as negative numbers. If your using a gallery widget rather than multiple images widgets you can also try changing the “Gap” setting to none. This may vary depending on your theme .

    Hi,
Thanks for your response but this doesn’t work. I have landscape and portrait images so if I change the margin in the gallery this applies to all images. Also I can crop the images to square but I wont to show the original image ration when clicking on it.

OK, sounds like your using a Gallery plugin. You said you only had 3 Thumbnails to show. Why not create a section with 5 columns and put the image widget in the middle 3? You can then adjust the gaps the way I mentioned in the previous post. Each widget is independent when it comes to settings.

I’m using the image gallery option from Elementor. Sorry if I have not been clear. I want to create a gallery with 15-18 images with square thumbails from images which are landscape or portraits. I want to have rows with 3 thumbnails. The option with thumbnails 150 x 150 works is what I want but the only problem is that they are too small. 300 x 300 would be ideal. But there is no options for square thumbnails in this size.

I couldnt do what you suggest unless I have misunderstood it.

    Thanks,
    Hazel

It would seem your thumbnail is defined as 150×150 in the settings area. You could modify this and make it 300×300 but that would affect any thumbnail image on your site. This change also allows you to crop the image to the 300×300. Give it a try. The Gallery widget does make it easier to create a Gallery but individual widgets can do the same thing. Is there a feature in Gallery that you can’t do in Image widget?

At the moment I have the gallery as 300 x 300 as you can see the images are not all square. I cant change the thumbnail size.

I have also tried the image instead the image gallery. But with Image I can’t get 3 images next to each other
