• I am testing FooGallery on my WP site. I created a gallery just fine but when I put the shortcode into a post and preview it doesn’t work — the shortcode just shows up as text in the post. Any thoughts on what am I doing wrong? Thanks!

    Hi there,

If you see the shortcode output to the page, e.g. “[foogallery id=12]” it means the plugin is not activated.

Thanks for weighing in — the shortcode is [foogallery id=”2141″]

If you only see the shortcode on the page, then it means that foogallery is not activated, or is not running on the frontend as it should be – which could be caused by caching plugins perhaps, but it is really hard to tell without access to the backend.

@primepassages, were you editing the page in “Visual” mode or in “Text” mode? Sometimes WP can’t handle shortcodes in visual mode and translates all the brackets to hex codes.
