Gallery problem

  • Can you have a look at this page:

    I have created a large gallery with images that have different dimensions and I think the result is rather ugly. What I want is that the thumbnails fit neatly or take up the same width, even if it means truncating some of the images.
    Most gallery software takes this approach
    Is their any way I can achieve this with the native gallery creator?
    I am using a Twenty Fourteen Child theme
