Gallery Pagination Broken – Invalid URL

    Fresh install of WP 4.1.1
    Fresh install of NextGen Gallery 2.0.79

    I use the custom permalink structure “category/postname”

    When viewing a gallery on page myurl.com/gallery
    The pagination urls are appearing like so

    mysite.com/gallery/nggallery/page/2

    Now if I hand type mysite.com/gallery/?nggpage=2
    everything works great.

    This is the second website/wordpress install I have had this issue with. The last time I simply removed NextGen and used a different plugin. However that is not an option on this site.

    I have tried re-saving permalinks, resetting permalinks, resetting NGG, resetting image cache several times and in different order. Nothing has fixed the issue.

    I have experienced the same issue on several installs now. So I did what I have read others have done on several public forums. I switched to a different plugin. I had to do some additional work on this site to make that switch but our team decided it was best.
