Gallery not displaying HTML in caption

I have a slight problem with the gallery not reading the html of my caption.

I wanted to have a link in the caption which works on the post
https://chasingwildlife.com/test-caption-link/

It also works with the standard gallery.

However when using the Meow Gallery the html code shows up in the caption.

The Meow lightbox also removes the HTML but it doesn’t display the code, just starts with the following <p> tag.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Only 2020 theme and two Meow plugins are active. (They don’t conflict with each other).
