• Galleries on the main page are loading in one column. If you click on the post title to show it alone, they are displaying properly. Similarly previewing the post. I have tried 3 different browsers on a Mac running Snow Leopard.
    Going to the post and clicking ‘update’ seems to make them display properly in the usual grid on the main page, and so far remain like that.
    Possibly connected… as administrator I am sometimes losing the dashboard toolbar when opening/viewing the site. Although the space for it is there, there is nothing, and the WP login bar at the foot is missing too. ‘(edit)’ post is still there so I can regain control.

    Working fine on localhost. And all the browsers are showing the WP login correctly. Most if not all the plugins are the same (and all are up to date). I’ll have to cross check local and remote.

    Found the conflict. Jetpack Protect.

    So much for that solution. It’s happened again with Protect turned off. I’m baffled. I thought for a moment it might be Advanced iFrame causing it but after toggling that plugin and some others it came back right again, and seems to be staying right.

    It’s difficult to troubleshoot something that behaves so unpredictably.

    With debug enabled debug.log shows nothing.

    @digbymaass – You can also add the following to your wp-config.php file but it is not recommended for production sites:

    define( 'NGG_DEBUG', WP_DEBUG );

    Thanks.
    Chief suspects at the moment are Jetpack and Advanced iFrame. With Jetpack de-activated, everything has stayed ok over 24hrs. I’ve re-installed and activated it and I’m turning on modules gradually. I’ve de-activated Advanced iFrame. In fact I don’t think we even use it.

    @digbymaass – Although we do not have any recent issues with JetPack that we are aware of it could possibly be a new conflict under specific conditions especially since JetPack has some new functionality just recently added.
