Gallery initially loads in one column vertically until you refresh the page and then it loads in multiple columns like it should. Seems this problem has existed for a while as I see many threads on it on the internet and a few here.

It looked like there was a version update in the past that fixed the issue but I have the latest version (2.4.15) and still having the issue. WP and all plugins are up to date.

Just went live with a large client site with many many galleries for their projects. Now seeing the issue as I am testing.

Client will not be happy once it happens to them for sure. Hoping there is some resolution that has been figured out.

    Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi @bartmitch

Could you please provide a link to the page with the gallery you mentioned? We’ll conduct some tests on our end and review the page to address your observation. Thank you.

Here is a page with a gallery. Any of the pages under the project headed has galleries. Some of them only have one photo so that is not relevant but many of them have multiple picture galleries where this issue occurs.

    https://genoaco.com/project-types/hospitality/

Click on any of the projects on this page and it will open up the gallery.

    Hi @bartmitch

Thank you for providing the link.

After thoroughly analyzing multiple galleries across your website’s pages, I have been unable to reproduce the issue you described. Upon navigation through various pages and galleries, they appear to load correctly.

Here’s a screen recording showcasing my experience for your reference: Link to the recording

Please let me know if you’re also observing the same results.

    Thank you.

As mentioned by other people and in other support threads on the internet, this doesn’t happen every time but sometimes it happens a lot and even when only every now and then it is not as it should be and makes the page design incorrect.

I know it makes it hard to troubleshoot if you cant recreate the issue, but I was just hoping that since so many people have had this same issue over the years that you might have found a solution so that it doesn’t happen. Maybe a solution you found when you were able to recreate the issue with another person having the issue?

This client site is already live and has a lot of galleries so I don’t want to have to go and redo all of those in another plugin. But if the problem is seen by client and viewers of the site, then I will have no choice. Just makes me a bit nervous.

    Hi @bartmitch

The behavior you described typically occurs when the FooGallery JS script isn’t initially loaded on your page on page load. However, when you reload the page, it will be loaded and the gallery will be displayed as expected. This issue often arises due to conflicts with other plugins or themes, particularly those with caching or optimization features that delay or prevent the loading of the FooGallery JS on initial page load.

Upon reviewing the gallery solution you’ve currently utilized on your page https://peaceloveandgrub.com/photos/, it appears to encounter the same loading issue.

Based on your setup, I suspect that Autoptimize may be deferring the script loading, causing this discrepancy. A potential workaround involves adding the JS path/URL to the exclusion settings of your caching or optimization plugin. For the free version of FooGallery, the script URL is: https://your_url.com/wp-content/plugins/foogallery/extensions/default-templates/shared/js/foogallery.min.js

I hope this helps resolve the issue.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis

You are confusing me with someone else who posted in this thread. I am NOT Peach Love and Grub. My issue is occurring on this page https://genoaco.com/project-types/hospitality/ and other pages on that site that have the gallery. I do not have any optimization or caching plugins installed. Only three extra plugins installed and Foo Gallery is one of them. The other are Stackable and Limit Login Attempts. Dont believe any of those are conflicting.

The issue seems to better lately and not happening as much but I dont have any of those caching programs as mentioned so not sure why the issue happens when it does happen.

    Hi?@bartmitch

Thank you for the clarification. My apologies for any confusion caused. The update I provided was intended for @abellsmith who also raised a similar concern within this thread.

Regarding your site, we have extensively analyzed multiple galleries across your website’s pages once more, and so far, none of us have been able to reproduce the issue you described. Everything appears to be functioning perfectly. However, should the issue resurface and become more consistent, please don’t hesitate to inform me, and I’ll investigate further. Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis
