Please kindly do a plugin compatibility check by doing these steps to identify the error :

=> Deactivate all of your additional plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Variation Gallery Plugin.

=> See if the problem persists. If the problem resolved, you can tell which plugin might be the culprit of this error by activating your additional plugins one by one.

First I updated the “WooCommerce Variation Image Gallery” plugin to version 1.1.3, then I disabled all plugins except WooCommerce and WooCommerce Variation Image Gallery.

I’m sorry to say that the problem remained — this doesn’t seem to be the result of a plugin conflict.

I don’t know what you mean by “console,” but there were no error messages at the top of the page (after I tried to add a photo from the media library.)

I switched the theme to Twenty Seventeen, but that didn’t help. The selected image from the media library still didn’t appear above the “Add Gallery Images” button.
