Gallery images can’t be found

    I have the same problem. When I insert gallery into page I get the following issue
    “Select a display type” is empty
    Will not let me “insert displayed gallery”

    Any help on this?

    The problems with the files not being found or getting a Forbidden message was fixed when I deleted lines in my .htaccess file that were to prevent hotlinking.

    My galleries not running problem got resolved when I had to deactivate the W3 Total Cache (W3TC) plugin. I went to a page to check something else and it was supposed to have one of my galleries on it. It was suddenly running! I checked the other gallery and it was also running. When I reactivated W3TC plugin, they stopped running. I’ve deleted W3TC and will use my hosting provider’s caching app.
