Gallery images are cutted instead of properly wrapped

Hi Nelson,

maybe my problem is too specific to spend time on it but if the solution is simple – at least I want to ask.

First of all my setup:
– WordPress 5.5.1
– Theme: TwentySeventeen 2.3

My problem:
I have articles using a picture gallery. At a point of time this year, wordpress changed the editor and with that the default gallery type. With this, I have the issue that if articles including the gallery spread across more than one page in the print-out, the images are just “cutted” (first half on the first page, second half of the image on the next one).
With the previous gallery type it worked properly, i.e. first half of the gallery on one page until its full, then second half on the next page but no page break with cutted images.

Hope the explanation is somehow understandable…
