Gallery image not appearing in Subscription emails

    Hi there,

    When I post a blog entry with a gallery, no image appears in the email sent by the Jetpack subscription service. Single images and videos do appear in the emails.

    Do you think is this a problem with the Jetpack subscription service? Or is the subscription service connected to our RSS feed and maybe this is a problem I could solve with an RSS feed image plug-in?

    Thanks for the report. That’s indeed an issue with Jetpack Subscriptions. We’re currently working on a fix. I’ll post again here as soon as we can address this issue.

    Jeremy, do you think Jetpack might also be causing the same problem of a gallery image not appearing in our RSS feed reader, such as Feedburner? Here’s the feed: https://feeds.feedburner.com/WildernessTravelPhotoBlog. The third post down, “The Most Exotic Place in the World,” is a gallery on our blog.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Could you try to publish a new Gallery, without using any of the Tiled Gallery options, and see if the images appear in your RSS feed?

    Has this issue been fixed yet? We use a lot of galleries in our posts but they’re still not showing up in subscriber emails.

    Worse still there isn’t even a placeholder, so for readers who don’t know there is a gallery there they won’t know to open the post in a browser.

    Not yet, but it’s still on our radar. I’ll post again here as soon as I have some news.

    Adding onto this so I can follow along. I have the same problem.

    I just want to add to this post. I’ve been using Gallery “Tiled Mosaic” option with the Jetpack plugin.

    The post & pics show up correctly
    – On the blog
    – On mobile devices (mobile version of the blog)
    – On RSS feed (although only thumbnails show here, not the tiled mosaic gallery)

    The only place pics don’t show at all are on the e-mail feed. Previously (when I was using wordpress.com) the pics would show as thumbnails on the e-mail feed. Now, none show at all.

    Hope you find a fix soon.
