[gallery] gallery?

  • Forgive me if I just don’t understand. I’m used to posting images using only Flickr and have only started using the new media features of WordPress with this new version.

    There is one site that I do where they’d like to have a gallery page but we can’t use Flickr for one reason or another. This would be a “compilation” of all the photos added to individual posts. I know that I can just go to the media in the post page and add each individual file but, firstly, I don’t see a way to do [gallery] like when you upload a batch (is that correct?) and secondly: how tedious!

    Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not sure if I am just not understanding and missing the proper code in the codex or what. I am also not opposed to using a plugin but I don’t think I’ve found one to do what I’m wanting.

  • When you go to Write New Post and use the media uploader to upload multi images, at the top it says gallery(#)… at the bottom is stated insert gallery. it will insert a gallery of all image that were upload to that Post only…

    Ok thanks that’s what I thought then. So what I want to do is not available without a plugin?
