Gallery Functionality – Full Size Gallery & Thumbnail Gallery

  • So I’m trying to replicate the gallery features of WWTDD.com (NSFW).

    Say what you will about the actual content of the site, but I’m pretty impressed by the way images and video are handled.

    How would I go about setting one image or video to be the main image for the post?

    How about maintaining a thumbnail gallery alongside a full-size gallery, both with previous/next buttons, and being able to navigate between the two?

    WWTDD.com references YouTube videos and integrates them into the post, but could I do the same thing with flv, swf, or mov files from my hard drive? (I was messing around this morning with it, and I could only reference a link, not a file).
