I noticed there is a previous post with this problem that shows as ‘resolved’. But I don’t believe it is so I’m reposting a new thread here:

    This happened to me twice:

    1. Even though plugin is still activated, Eazyest Gallery disappears from Dashboard ‘main menu’ (where you’d select albums)

    2. Folder ‘gallery’ is deleted together with all its contents (where the album folders and images are saved) – in my case around 375 images

    3. In plug-in settings it declares you have to create the folder ‘gallery’ as if you’ve just installed plugin and have to start from scratch.

    4. With ftp, I can see the ‘gallery’ folder is no longer there (deleted by whom? how?)

The first time I thought perhaps I had done something wrong. So I went on to re-install gallery folder again and re-upload all of the images (painstakingly so, as many of the captions have to be manually inserted).

This was three days ago, on the 20th. And today the 23rd they’ve disappeared again.

I’ve been with my host provider long enough…images and folders have never gone missing before…

It also happened around the same time in both cases…between 15:30 and 16:30 GMT.

Just in case, I’ve created a folder named test and placed it under wp-contents/
if it spontaneously deletes in three days time, then perhaps it might just be something unrelated to plugin (but somehow I doubt it)

If you have disappearing folders, please reply with as much information about your server install as possible. Include also all your plugins and what you where doing before they disappeared. All things matter, how insignificant they may seem, it may help me find the cause of this dreadfull bug.

I made 30 folders. Was going though the index page and notice one missing. Went to the admin and sure enough it was draft. I went and publiched it and the other 29 folders then said they were sub folders to that one. I deleted it, remade it but of course i cant delete top level folders. Each time i deleted and made a folder it dupped all the other folder so now i have like 120 folders.

very strange, I am going to try that.

Yes, found some bugs in there.
Please make new topics for new issues.

I thought this was the same issue?

I have also noticed while fooling with this issue you cant restore folders in the trash… not sure if that is in the same issue or not.

This was not the same issue, but I have found the bug that created the duplicate entries. It has been resolved in the development version.
Sorry for the problems it may have caused you.

    Hello,

As mentioned in another post and repeat so here, I also had Lightbox Plus ColorBox installed, but I am not with GoDaddy.

Shortly after last post, I decided to delete Eazyest gallery plugin, as I had to get on with my project and couldn’t go through ‘losing’ uploaded images again (369 of them). Ftp didn’t really work for me, because data such as caption and description (and I imagine comments if there were any) are not retained in ftp reupload from backup.

I wish you the best in fixing this.

Sorry to hear that, but understandable.

    Hello,

Not a 100% sure if this is the same issue, but my folders are not showing up in the front-end if the directory structure is such that it contains a folder with only sub-folders and no images.

    For example:
    /root/only_sub_folders_contained_in_this_dir/dir_with_images

The work around that worked for me was to create the folder structure of folders without images in them in the back-end first and then upload the folders with images through ftp.

In my opinion this seems like a bug and not like a desirable feature. The rest of the plugin is great so far!
