    Hi guys,

When doing a bit of site admin last night, I thought I’d see what this blue message on Foogallery plugin was all about, that just appeared in the last week, and also appears on ‘FooBox’.

Found that I’d now got this message:

    Thumbnail Generation Alert!
There is a problem generating thumbnails for your gallery. Please check that your hosting provider has the GD Image Library extension installed and enabled.
If thumbnails cannot be generated, then full-sized, uncropped images will be used instead. This will result in slow page load times, and thumbnails that do not look correct.

…so I contacted my host and they confirmed that both ‘imagik’ and ‘GD’ were activated and running fine on other websites that were using these extensions.

So seeing as other websites have no problem with php image extensions, why does FooGallery keep nagging me (since the last update) that there is now a problem?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @steveraven,

Would you please go to FooGallery -> Settings -> Images and click the “Thumbnail Generation Test” button?

If that returns a “Thumbnail generation test ran successfully” response then please go to FooGallery -> Settings -> Advanced and check the “Override Thumb Test” option and save.

Let us know if the warning goes away after that? Sometimes there are problems running the thumbnail generation test. This overrides the test to use a remote image from our CDN instead of directly from your website.

    Hi @phillcoxon

Yes that worked, though I had to follow your instructions in reverse order, as the thumbnail generation test gave another error.

After checking the ‘ovverride’ option though and running the generation test again, all looks good.
