Gallery embed shortcode not working, and can't show media category on front-end

  • I am trying to display a dynamic list of media items in a category using a shortcode, but I can’t find a way to make it work, and the gallery embed shortcode is not working.

    What I am trying to do:
    Show a list of media assets per category on the front page (this can be as a gallery or as a list). The list should be dynamic so that when something is added to a category, it should appear on that page.

    Environment:
    Latest wordpress, latest EML plugin, Enfold Theme with Avia Layout builder.

    The gallery embed shortcode (from the FAQs) is not working for me and I can’t find any other way to display a media category on the front page.
