Gallery – Drag and drop doesn't work

  • Hello:

    Created a gallery page, but after adding photos, they are just randomly added anywhere on the page, moving others down or up or wherever and there’s no way to drag and drop. I’ve fiddled around with the “alignments” on each pic and sometimes they move, but never where I want them to go. It’s like a crazy puzzle with a mind of its own. I’ve googled and searched youtube and tried a bunch of plugins, but no one seems to have any answers. I found a lot of earlier WordPress forum threads about this as well, but all go unanswered, or people just give up. Can anyone help? I was always told WordPress was really easy, but not being able to organize images is driving me insane. There has to be a solution to this or no one would ever use this site. Please help! ??

  • There is a check box on the right side of the edit gallery page that says “Random Order”.
    Make sure it is not checked.

    Thanks puremojo, but that ‘Random Order’ is not checked.

    I must be doing something else wrong and I just can’t figure it out. I’m relatively new to trying to build a site so it’s all a learning curve, but this image thing doesn’t seem to have any way around it. So frustrated.

    Any suggestions for a plug-in that allows drag and drop? Thanks.

    Divi is my choice and they have a plugin that will work in just about any theme.
