Gallery doesn't display on desktops, but on mobile and when logged in

  • Hi,

    using Hueman theme I added one gallery, that seemed to be fine, until I sent the page life.

    The gallery at https://www.udobroeker.de/projekte/ does display on mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android tested), but not on desktop screens, no matter whether PC or Mac.

    It works with my desktop, as long as I’m logged into maintenance view, but as soon as I log out, there is no gallery but a constantly moving circle.

    Any hint on how to solve this would be much appreciated.

    @_tom_ – Do you see the same issue if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

    @ Cais – Yep, I tried, it worked.

    It also works with the regularly used theme Hueman sometimes – like this evening for a few moments, but I was logged in with Safari, using Chrome parallel to this.

    Today, I put in the short code into the page again, I also deleted all images and reloaded them. Didn’t help, unfortunately.

    What irritates me is, that it always works with the default theme Hueman, when I’m logged in, but if I’m not, it doesn’t – with the same Mac, browser and network connection.

    @_tom_ – Knowing that it works with default themes and the parent(?) Hueman theme is good to know but any user logged in checks would be strictly in the administration panels for their effects. Did you by any chance set something under Gallery > Other Options > Roles & Capabilities other than the defaults?

    No, I didn’t change any of he settings you mentioned, but to make sure, all is fine with this aspect, I did reset them. The situation remains the same.

    Btw., I use Hueman with a child theme.

    Is there an option that the server might influence delivery?

    @_tom_ – Server actions would be outside the scope of our support for the most part … and in many cases outside the scope of NextGEN Gallery functionality as well.

    I would suggest looking at the Child-Theme closer and perhaps elaborating on what you are referring to with “the server might influence delivery”.
