HI i have just installed to the new version of Yoast which has a great feature to highlight certain text that need to be looked at. It wasn’t working and having spoken to Yoast support team they say there is a conflict. Its with NextGen unfortunately. I would have to keep deactivating Nextgen whist the site is live to see the text which needs changing. I am running all the latest versions of the plugins.

    Any Help gratefully recieved.

@billsmithem – Thanks, again. If you are having a specific issue it would likely be best for you to start your own topic as well.

I saw posts from other plugins with the same error message related to Yoast SEO. They wrote it to the Yoast Support, which answered that this problem has to be solved not by Yoast but the plugin developer.

I think as Yoast and NextGEN are two of the most used plugins out there, they should have an interest that the plugins can be used together…

+1. Please fix this issue. The problem is with your plugin, not YOAST.

@andypotts – Thanks for your feedback!

Can you give a timeframe of when this will be fixed?

    Cheers.

@andypotts – We are aware of the issue and also that it only appears when WP_DEBUG is set to true … we will be looking into it but do not have a specific timeline on when it will be addressed.

As it is, I would suggest (especially if this is a production/live site you are having issues with) is to make sure WP_DEBUG is set to false. To the best of our knowledge this is not causing any significant issues / conflicts with NextGEN Gallery and Yoast SEO at this time.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

So your solution to photocrati being 7 months behind on updating NextGen is to stop properly testing sites under development by turning off WP_DEBUG? REALLY?

@billsmithem – Not at all, I’m suggesting live sites should not have WP_DEBUG set to true.
