Gallery Category Title

    How to display the gallery category name, not the post category name, i tried <?php single_cat_title(); ?> but it didn’t work, would really appreciate your help.

  • Galleries don’t have categories. You can only use the associated post category.

    Hi Esmi,

    They actually do, it appears on the right hand column whenever you create a gallery in the new wordpress 3.1, you must have missed it, it’s called “Gallery Category”; i wouldn’t mind assigning a post category to a gallery, how can this be done?

    No – that’s theme or plugin specific. It’s not part of WordPress core. Start by finding out what is adding this to your site.
