gallery block — stacking on mobile

    I want to insert small galleries (2-5 images) in mobile and have been using the Gutenberg Gallery block. This looks good on a large screen, but the images (especially two horizontal images side-by-side) are tiny on mobile. Is it not possible to have the gallery stack into one column on mobile?

    (I’ve also tried a few gallery plugins, but none of them seem to do this either.)

  • Yes, it is possible. It is usually determined by your theme. If the theme does not do anything special for the new blocks, you get only what core WordPress outputs as the styling.
    Ask in your theme’s support forum.

    They replied that they can’t do this. I am fine with modifying the theme myself if I can get some advice here on how to do so.

    It’s probably easier if you just use a Classic block with a gallery in it.

    OK. A columns block also seems to work pretty well.
