Gallery and videos not loading properly

    I’m having an issue with both the gallery itself loading, and the videos playing once it does finally load. A loading circle icon will appear for several seconds, then a “Load More” button will appear. Once I click that button a second loading circle appears, then the gallery will finally load. When I click on one of the videos to play, the screen greys out with a loading circle and an X in the corner as if the lightbox with the video is loading, but nothing ever happens. I have tried deactivating all plug-ins and themes but cannot find the source of this issue. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Marek,

    I’m using MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 and I’ve tried it on Chrome, Firefox and Safari as well as on the iPhone, an Android phone and two other computers. While the gallery will initially load (though very slowly sometimes), I haven’t once been able to open and play a video. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    what I see is the gallery loading just fine, but I can’t open any of the items – I presume they’re all videos, right?

    If so, could you please verify that
    a) The videos are in the correct format as per the FAQ
    b) The videos are set to “Anyone with a link can view” in Drive – this is a temporary limitation caused by changes in Drive.

    Not all of them were set to “anyone with a link can view” so I changed that and still the same results.

    The only other thing I see that could be a problem is that they are all .mov files. I am able to view them in the browser within Google Drive, but do .mov files not work with this plugin?

    Hi,
    that is correct, mov files do not work in the browser. See Wikipedia for an overview of what formats one can use.
