• Hello. I cannot work out how to lay out my images differently. In your demo you have images in circles, side by side etc… When i add images i can only get one format – one under another. I have tried changing the post format to gallery but nothing changes. what gives?

If you assign a Featured Image to one of your standard (non-formatted) posts, it will display with the image as a circle, aligned to the right, as in the demo. You can also use CSS to make any image a circle, by targeting it and setting a large border-radius.

Images will display side-by-side if added to a gallery (not quite the same as assigning the post to the Gallery format).

Thanks Caroline. Love the theme but just want it to work like the demo and for it to be easy to use on wordpress.com. I am a mum with not much techy skills sorry. Using CSS is a bit beyond me and have no idea how to add a gallery to the blog.:-(

SO what does assigning the post to gallery format do? It doesnt seem to do change anything. As it stands, it seems there is only one way to display a series of photos in a blog post which is one under another (doesnt look great) other than ‘featured’ circle. Is that correct?

Ideally i want the option of displaying photos side by side or in a gallery format as per your demo.

Also i have just set a featured image in a post and it is not appearing. Is there something i am missing here?

Ahh, you’re on WordPress.com? If so, the theme will work differently. This is the support forum for self-hosted www.remarpro.com users, which explains some of the confusion. When we port themes to WordPress.com, we often change bits and pieces to make it more consistent with other .com themes.

Please check out the support forums at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/ and post your questions there, or check out the support documentation at https://en.support.wordpress.com/ — thank you!

Also good to note, the demo site to reference for WordPress.com is https://pachydermdemo.wordpress.com/ — that will give you a more accurate picture of how the theme works on WordPress.com.
