When trying to view the carousel at the bottom of the page on mobile device (iphone) using Chrome or Safari, it only moves to the second image and then crashes, with error “Can’t open this page” or resets to the first image. Desktop works fine.

    Hi Sharon,

    Happy to help!

I added the same images to your Gallery (Adv) block but could not replicate the issue. Here’s a screencast for your reference:

However, I can confirm the issue on your website. Having a carousel with over 50 images is likely contributing to the crashing issue on mobile devices. Mobile browsers have limited memory and processing power compared to desktop browsers, and loading so many high-resolution images simultaneously can overwhelm them, leading to errors like “Can’t open this page.”

    To troubleshoot this:

    1. Enable Image Lazy Load
Activate lazy loading in the Gallery (Adv) carousel settings to ensure images load only as needed. Here’s a screencast for your reference:
      https://share.zight.com/YEu6Q6Kn
    2. Optimize Image Sizes and Formats
Reduce the image file sizes and use modern formats like WebP to minimize the page weight. If you’re using a CDN like Cloudflare, enable image compression and format conversion to further improve performance.
    3. Organize the Gallery
Consider reducing the number of images in each gallery or categorizing them into multiple smaller galleries. This approach will improve loading speed and user experience.

I hope this helps. Please let us know how we can help further.

    Cheers,
    Eze

Thanks for your feedback, I was afraid maybe that might be the case. I already have lazy load enabled. I’ve switched to a Foo Gallery instead. That seems to work much better.
