    I can get this to work if I do an “add Media” but not if I do a “Create Gallery”
    Have I misunderstood something?
    I have 3 examples in the page above
    The first is an “Add Media” with wp-image-zoom
    The second is an “Add Media” without wp-image-zoom
    The third is a “Create Gallery” – I can “select” this image in the Visual editor but wp-image-zoom gives a warning message asking me to select an image

    You’re right, the zoom works with “Add Media”, but not with “Create Gallery”. This isn’t implemented simply because I didn’t think about the case and nobody mentioned this so far.

    I’ll look what I can do about this and get back to you in 1-2 days. Hopefully with a solution.

    Would you please try the solution presented in this article.

    It is not the most user-friendly solution, but trying to make the button work for the gallery leads to all kind of problems, especially for themes that overwrite the WordPress core gallery shortcode.

    Let me know if this solution works for you.
