Galleries in no apparent sequence

    Latest plugin / WP version being used. Long-time user here.

    The order of the galleries within the album don’t seem to be in any specific order. I’d like them to sort either by ID or chronologically or almost any logical order, but not random as they seem to be.

    My shortcode is [album=11,extend].

    Is there a gallery sort order setting I’m missing somewhere?

    @markrr – Try using the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor’s visual tab to insert the album display; use the Sort/Exclude accordion panel to arrange the galleries for the album.

    PS: Although the shortcode you referenced should work in principle, it is a very old construct and should at a minimum be changed to [album ids=11 template=extend] which would be the last incarnation under the NextGEN Legacy code.

    I updated the construct and it appears to be sorted now. Thanks!

    Any idea why random strings of text from a 2009 Album appear in between my albums? This was happening before the sorting issue. It happened under the old construct/shortcode and and after using the newer TinyMCE editor inserted code.

    @markrr – Aside from some sort of outside influence (read: a conflict from a plugin or your theme) I cannot think of a reason for this to happen … although in rare cases caching can provide some strange output but that is also generally only temporary.
