Gallerie dont work in a new album

Just as an update, yesterday I was able to create an album that did display the photos using the work around above by Capobis (THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting) which suggested using no spaces in the file name while creating the album. After creating it with no spaces in the file name, I went back and renamed the album with spaces and it now displays the photos as it should. To see this, you can go to the website in my previous post and look at the same album mentioned in the post.

Of course, we are all now waiting for a permanent fix to this bug/problem, but thankfully the workaround is an easy one and doesn’t involve the possibility of losing all the albums and galleries we have already created.

Hi guys, this problem also arises if you have ALBUMS which then have GALLERIES with spaces in the name – when you click the GALLERY it just refreshes the page

Same fix for the SPACES in the ALBUM NAME works

Please fix this ASAP ?? I know you’re on it already

Same problem here, and of today i am not able to upload photo’s

If you make an new gallerie, don`t use spaces between the letters

For the album is this no problem, only if you make a new gallerie.

Problem with new gallery is, that new gallery have in database wrong SLUG and folder with images have a name with spaces and special chars. I need repair it. Can you help me?

I need update of plugin. Because when I rewrite folder name and slug of gallery in database, everything is alright. But why is generated wrong slug when I create new gallery? Thanks for help.

@oudedaf – We have found an issue when galleries are created that include spaces. We have also sorted out a fix that will be in our next release of NextGEN Gallery (it will also correct the “broken” galleries if you re-save them).

As it is, the work-around of rolling back to version 2.1.23 should be fine. It is safe for your images, galleries, albums, etc.

it’s been over a week. when is the new version to be released? This is ridiculous. we shouldn’t have to beta test bug fixes, nor should they take a week on a paid plugin. I regret choosing nextgen every time you guys make a major release. no other piece of software has made my work harder.

Maak een nieuw album genaamd bv daf trucks, daarna gallerij daftrucks aan elkaar schrijven, dan de normale handelingen wat je normaal ook doet , is alles geplaatst zul je zien dat het werkt, ga daarna terug naar je gallerie overzicht en bij Gallerie trek de woorden daftrucks weer uit elkaar, dus daf trucks, maak niet de fout om met spaties te gaan werken in de nieuwe gallerij mappen want dan werkt het niet. En inderdaad een update zou niet gek zijn.
