    Hi,

It’s great to see you continue to develop the best analytics plugins.

I’m a bit confused… I know you sold GADWP, is this plugin doing the same stuff as GADWP?

    Disclaimer:
I forked GADWP, but I’m interested to know so if your answer is positive I think I can forward the users back to this one.

    Hi,

In my opinion you should continue to work on the fork you mentioned, without forwarding the users here or elsewhere. The best thing for users is to have multiple options and let them choose.

It’s just my opinion, but I think it makes sense, from a user point of view.

    Hi,

In that time I tried to do something good for the community, I’m sure will do better than me.

So to my initial question: is this similar to gadwp?

    That’s great to hear!

I think that down the path it won’t be, mainly because the authorization flow is already different (with all the privacy implications) and the library will be soon upgraded, with more downsides, like for example focusing on GA4 rather than UA or Tag Manager and a higher PHP version required.

This is the reason why I was saying that users should have multiple options. Some may not like the new work flow, some probably won’t met the higher PHP version required, some would prefer using the old tracking or the original look, and so on.

So basically it’s up to each user to make a choice based on their preferences without making claims that one plugin or another would be the real thing.

    You mentioned some great points.

I will notify them about this one and as you said they are free to select.

    Thank you.
