I have installed Site Kit and added UA code, GTM, and GA4. Tag Assistant is showing non-standard implementation. I’m using the correct measurement ID on the backend of the plugin. This seems to be the case with any site I use this plugin on.

    Hi @shayeryan,

Thanks for reaching out. It looks like you’re using the Tag Assistant Chrome extension to check your tags. The successor to this is tagassistant.google.com, which provides a more detailed and correct snippet status for your site. I’ve used this to check your site, along with having checked your site manually, and I can confirm that both your Universal Analytics (UA) and your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tags are firing as expected on my own site visits.

While I can’t be sure of the messaging within the Chrome extension you’re using, given we’re limited to Site Kit plugin support, this may be due to your own site visits not tracking based on you being logged in while visiting your site. The default configuration of a Site Kit placed Analytics snippet is that logged in users are not counted in Analytics traffic.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this.

Hi James, thanks for responding so quickly. Is there any plans on Google releasing a new chrome extension to show the tag info correctly? I like the convenience of the extension but good to know about tagassistant.

Good question @shayeryan. I can’t be sure of any update to the extension, however, I do believe the plan is to fully migrate to the tagassistant service. If you click on the “Tag assitants” is changing link it directs users to the new tagassistant.google.com related article.

Note also that the notification you see within the legacy Chrome extension may differ if you check your site while not logged in. I say this as there is an opt-in configuration within Site Kit, that impacts logged in users, determining whether they are tracked in Analytics hits. This can impact the reporting using the extension.

Hopefully the above is of use!
