Since 31 March, GA4 saw a massive dip in traffic and stopped tracking Woocommerce purchases for two of my websites.

Traffic is down 80% and I know it is not accurate as I can see that my Clicks on Google Search Console are higher than the total actual traffic showing on GA4.

I can also see I have had orders on Woocommerce, but it only tracked 1 in April.

  • Hi @emilyjonests,

Is your site targeting users in the EEA/EU/UK region?

I’m asking as Google introduced?Consent Mode?in March 2024 to comply with privacy laws in the EEA/EU/UK region. This means website visitors from these regions must now explicitly grant consent for cookies before any analytics tracking occurs.

Without consent, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads won’t capture data from users in these locations. To ensure continued tracking, you’ll need to implement Consent Tracking through third-party plugins like the?Complianz, Consent Mode API, etc.

Due to this new requirement, you may notice a discrepancy between your store and Google Analytics/Ads data, as users must grant consent for analytics data to be captured.

Complianz is set up correctly, yes. I am seeing other posts on the forum about a problem with the latest 2.0 plugin update. Has this been resolved?

    Hello @emilyjonests,

Our developers are still working on a fix, and we are unable to provide a specific time on when this would be resolved, however, using a plugin like Complianz should help temporarily solve the issue.

I hope this answers your question. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out as we are happy to help.

    Hello @becreativestudio,

If I understand you correctly, you already have compliant installed but are still facing the same issue?

In that case, I would suggest creating a new thread with your case, so that we don’t mix several troubleshooting sessions in one thread. Even if the symptoms are the same, perhaps the underlying problem is different in your case.

Hi ?? We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
