When i try to connect our analytics account the GA4 property doesn’t show up.
ps. we have alot of analytics accounts on one mail address. So loading takes FOREVER.

Isn’t there any way to manually insert the G- code?

    Hi @fullstak,

    Thanks for creating this topic.

Currently, our plugin offers compatibility with the dual setup method to push the data in GA as well as in GA4.

In this method, you need to choose the UA- property while signing in and configure it in the plugin setting. Once all the settings in the plugin get saved then you need to dual setup (Universal Analytics + Google Analytics 4) properties.

Please follow the steps mentioned in the installation doc to configure the plugin and the dual setup.

Regarding a lot of accounts: You can follow the below workaround:

    1. Share the edit level access of the desired property to different analytics account(say ‘ABC’) which has fewer properties.

    2. While configuring the UA- id in the plugin settings, please sign-in with the ‘ABC’ account.

    3. Select the desired property from the drop-down list and configure it in the plugin settings.

We hope the above details help. Please post in case you have more queries.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.

@fullstak were you able to set up this “dual setup”? It really doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldnt it be more beneficial to tailor the plugin to the new analytics platform? I really need some help setting this up.

@jpattwell yeah dual setup works. But I don’t see why you would do all of this. When normal ua is still needed.

@tatvic thanks for clarification. Do your premium or free version support this any time soon? And the workaround isn’t that good of a solution since that would mean we would have xx amount of useless email accounts just to bypass the waiting time.

Guess I will take a large break whenever I connect a account haha. ??

    Hey @jpattwell,

We hope you were able to do a dual setup. Please post in case you still have any issues.

@fullstak, Currently, the free plugin supports GA4 tracking in dual setup method and soon we will be releasing a new major version of the plugin wherein the user can directly use it for newly setup GA4 accounts.

Regarding workaround: We had tested the plugin with a GA account which has 100 properties and all were shown within a fraction of seconds. And it is obvious that if the account has more properties(100+) then showing up of those properties in the dropdown will take some time as each property has multiple views associated.

And just to mention, we are constantly working on improving the plugin so as soon as we have a solution for this we will implement that.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tatvic Analytics.
