I migrated from universal analytics to GA4 by using MonsterInsights. I followed every step of their official guide. And everything is as per instruction.

When I first set it up, it was showing some data for the first week in my ga4 property but it’s not showing after that. And it says “data Not flowing” and “data collection not active”. While I noticed that Monstersights created an additional stream GA4 MonsterInsights which collects data and shows “data flowing” & “data collection active”

I am quite frustrated and dont know what to do. Please please help.

hi, sorry for late reply. I think you didn’t understand my problem. My problem is that 2 streams were created while setting up ga 4 using monsterinsights plugin. Now, ga4 monster insights stream flowing data whole original ga4 isn’t not flowing data in Google analytics. I don’t know what to do.

    Hi?@grishna,

I’m sorry about my misunderstanding there.

When you connect MonsterInsights to your Google Analytics property, we’ll check if there’s already a data stream that matches your WordPress Site Address (URL) exactly. If it exists, we’ll use it and send data to it. If it doesn’t exist yet, we’ll automatically create it for you with “MonsterInsights” in the label of the data stream.

Currently, it’s not possible to choose a specific data stream to connect to as it’s all automated on our end.

If the MonsterInsights data stream is receiving data, then it means you’re tracking into your property. In this case, you can remove the extra data stream that isn’t receiving any data.

To delete a stream, please follow the steps here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9304776?hl=en#delete

I hope this helps, but let me know if you have further questions.

    Thanks!
