Hello, I’ve encountered some bugs when using Beehive Pro with GA4. In particular, when looking at top pages, some of the highest ranked pages will report session length and number of views as 0. This seems to increase when increasing the length of time viewed, i.e. “Last year” shows many more 0s than “Last week”. I’m also a bit confused why the “Bounce Rates” statistic is significantly lower when looking at GA4 data compared to UA data for the same site (in this case 0.46% compared to 63.44%.) It would lead me to believe there is some sort of error in calculating the metric. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi @keithbress

Sorry to hear you are having this issue.

Could you switch to Google’s website and check if the numbers will match there?

GA4 and UA have different metrics and ways to calculate things, so it would be expected to have a difference in the numbers, however, the plugin interface must match the Google site.

About 0s, can you force a data reload https://monosnap.com/file/EoiBb2t6VMN87ZJhjOPEa3rSi2QvHD and see if makes any difference?

Also is the data showing just fine on Google site?

    Hi Patrick,

Reloading the data did not make a difference.

The data does not match GA4 for the same period of time:

    Hi @keithbress

Just to make sure we are on the same side here (in context of Patrick’s question):

    1. In Beehive you have only GA4 configured, only UA or both?

    2. If you have both, the Beehive part of the screenshot – is it made with Beehive -> Google Analytics” set to GA4 too or UA?

I’m sorry for asking but the screenshot itself doesn’t show that (only that Beehive is compared against GA4) and it’s not clear to me from your posts – so I want to make sure about the case.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Hi Adam, both GA4 and UA are configured, but both parts of the screenshot are showing the GA4 results, not UA.

    Thanks,

    Hi @keithbress,

Just to be sure, could we know which date ranges are you comparing as shared in the given screenshot? Like “Last week”, “Last month” etc?

Asking specifically as we have noticed issues when “Custom Range” is selected, so would like to rule out whether the differences are indeed not related to that.

Also, for the views where you notice 0, could you please double-check by clicking the URLs in the “Top Pages” section of Beehive, to confirm whether the URLs are correct or not?

ie as shown in the following screeshot:

    Screenshot at 18:44:44.png

Have noticed similar behaviour when incorrect URLs are picked, for example a staging URL etc.

Please do let us know how that goes.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

Hi Nithin, the screenshots were showing “last year” but the issue is present for “last week” and “last month” as well. The URLS are correct and point to the current live site.

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi @keithbress,

We just noticed you did refer to the plugin as a Pro version, just to be sure are you using the free or the Pro version of Beehive? Do you have an active WPMU DEV account with us?

If it’s a Pro version, could you please make sure to open a new chat or ticket with us, as the process of troubleshooting would be much faster?

You can use the following URL:

    https://wpmudev.com/hub/#get-support

You can refer this ticket URL while opening chat/ticket with us.

If you don’t have a WPMU DEV account and you are using the free version, then we’ll be troubleshooting it further via this ticket. However, I’ll also have to check this further with our developer to see what further aspects that could be causing the stats to show 0s.

Regarding difference statistics compared with GA4 and UA, how both works are difference, so chances to notice differences are common. You can check the Google Doc for more info:

Will get back once I get further feedback asap.

    Kind Regards,
