    Hi @willshaw,

    Thanks for reaching out.

To dig in further on why your engagement rate has changed, it might be worthwhile to follow Google’s suggestions in their guide here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/12195621?hl=en

Out of curiosity, are you seeing a decrease in pageviews alongside a drop in engagement? If your pageviews are increasing while your sessions are not, since you’ve ruled out duplicate tracking, it’s possible the changes are being caused by bot traffic.

In this case, if you haven’t yet looked into using a Firewall or WordPress security plugin, here’s a guide that you can check out to help reduce bot traffic from reaching your website: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wordpress-security/

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the reply Michelle.

I’ve had a look at the link but I can’t find any new ideas there. I can’t seem to upload a picture but it’s a straight line up to the drop with engagement time, then a straight line after.

Session have stayed consistent ~7-8k/day and page views 9-10k/day all the way through July & Aug.

Thanks for your help, I’m sure I’ve missed something obvious so I’ll keep searching.

    Many thanks,

    Will
