So I’ve realised that my site stats on my hosting platform differ very wildly from the site stats shown on my google analytics. By 100s of 1000s. Just wondering why this may be the case and which account must be the one to trust? I assume that my host’s stats must be correct and I must have made an error somewhere in connection my google analytics to my site

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I’m interested too.

I have the same problem. I can see a x10 difference in pages/visit.

Same problem here, SG stats are between x5 and x10 compare to analytics (visitors per day and pages view per day)

I have asked SG, they don’t answer about it, they said they cannot compare to 3rd parties because they don’t know how it is programmed.

We (SiteGround) parse the access log and record every hit. Analytics can filter out bots and there are hits (mostly automated) that Analytics cannot record because it was not loaded during that hit. It’s not a problem, it’s a difference in the recording method and actually taking both into consideration can give you most information…
