Hi there, this might be unrelated to your plugin, but I’m trying to troubleshoot why my Google Ads isn’t tracking conversions properly. I’ve run a few tests, and when I click on my page (which has a redirect in place), sometimes the redirection preserves the gclid parameter, and other times it doesn’t. For context, I’m using the following settings: Match -> URL only and Regex.

Could this behavior be related to the redirect configuration? I apologize for asking here, but I’m out of options and have tested everything I can think of. Any guidance would be appreciated!

There aren’t enough details to answer that question. Redirection only does what you configure it to do. There’s no ‘sometimes’ in a redirect – it will always behave the same according to your settings.

Can you give an example redirect and the settings used for it? Why are you using a regex?

    Thank you for the reply.

We are using the Regex because some of our URLs contain dynamic parameters. I am sending the screenshot of our settings.

The redirect is from a non-existent page (our old sales page) to our new sales page.

A regex needs to match the whole URL, not just part of it. Your regex only matches part of the URL.

Based on your screenshot it doesn’t appear like you need a regex anyway. Have you looked at the ‘ignore query params’ option? (or ignore and pass)
