• Hello everyone, im currently working on form submission converison trackign with CF7 and read this official article: https://contactform7.com/tracking-form-submissions-with-google-analytics/

But when i checked with the google tag manager preview i saw that there are already events beeing sent when starting and sending a form (form_start & form_submit). So was this added later and i can just use them for the conversion tracking?

Thank you so much for all your help!

You can use custom listener code to track contact form 7.

@jmah With that you mean that there are custom listener CF7 is sending? No special integration needed?

You can put custom listener code in the website via Google tag manager.

@jmah I added listeners that are using to default CF7 events. Is that correct? Cause contact form 7 is already sending these events i just need to create the listeners? Is that correct?

@peesen87 yes. If the listener code send event in the datalayer then you can track the event just creating custom event “wpcf7_submission”

@jmah Great, so as i mentioned. There is no custom Javascript needed (see link in the post). Correct?
