G+ Social Login not working anymore

We are not able to login at your website via any of the social networks.
Seems, some other plugin is conflicting with social login. Would you try deactivating other plugins one-by-one to check which one is that?

I fixed it by optimizing the database tables with the plugin WP Optimzie. No idea what caused the problem, but this helped for some reason.

So thank you for your help – maybe I should have tried this before warning you, but I hadn’t thougt of it yet.

Mmmm.. I’m afraid to say I still have this problem. I have tried deactivating every plugin (yes, even buddypress), but I can’t login with my gmail-account. Social Login through other social networks (FB and linkedin) works fine.

Any ideas?

I deactivated ALL! Even Buddypress, but I stll couldn’t login with G+. SO I don’t think it’s a plugin issue. But if nobody else has this problem, I’ll just let people login through their FB- or LinkedIn-account.

We checked again and just found that we are not able to login using any of the social network at your website. Please make sure you have disabled Disable user registration via Social Login option in Basic Configuration section at Super Socializer > Social Login page in admin area.

I had this activated already. I can login using FB/LinkedIn. Only G+ doesn’t work.

You don’t have to ACTIVATE that option. You have to DISABLE that option.

Enabling this option means, new users would not be able to login using social login, which is happening right now.

Thank you. I understand (I think). But I only want registered users to log in with their FB, LinkedIn or G+ account. FB and LinkIn work fine, G+ doesn’t.

BTW: if I do let users register by social login (and uncheck the abovementioned option), I get access to the site. However, I am not recognized: I am registered as a new user, even though I have already registered. The result is that I now have two accounts (with different emailadresses, the new one has my gmail-adress). So for some reason, my original account is not recognized.

So for some reason, my original account is not recognized.

It means, the email address of original account is not the same as that of the Google account you are using to Social Login. You would like to check this.

Yes, I know. I have regisetered myself with my emailaccount [email protected] on my wordpress site. Not with my gmailaddrees ([email protected]). But could that be the reason I can’t login with my G+-account anymore (without adding myself as a new user, I mean)? Strange: as I said, I used to be able to do so. Has the Google api changed, perhaps?
