G Site Kit Error
-
I can’t use G Site Kit after installing the plugin.
When I click the button says “G Site Kit” at the left column, it doesn’t show anything.
My browser is Google Chrome, and I already tried below.
- Cleared the cache date
- Opened with incognito
- Deleted all other plugins which save cache
The following URL is the screenshot of my G Site Kit scree.

Appreciate you sharing the additional insights @gamadodragon. I’ll check this with the team and report back to you here with an update.
If you do wish to perform another check which can help rule out or confirm a hosting related block, you can create a new WordPress site on the same hosting platform and then attempt Site Kit set up from there. Regardless, I’ll keep you updated when I discuss your case with the team. I’ll respond to you here once I have an update this week.
Thank you for letting me know it.
I think it will cost to create WordPress site by this hosting server.
if it is free to create a new site, I’ll quickly creat it.
If my understanding is incorrect, please tell me.
Yes, you are correct. Creating another WordPress site would be a good test to confirm a hosting related block.
If there is a cost to create a new WordPress site this may be specific to a domain name only. It may be possible to crate a new WordPress site using a subdirectory or subdomain. I found this on your hosting website.
Thank you for teaching me the subdomain.
I need to transfer DNS from my current server to other site in order to creat subdomain.
I’ll inform you once I try G Site Kite I’m this Subdomain.
Meanwhile, my host provider, Lollipop, wants exact info you want, like the access from where to where.
If you have an idea about this question, appreciated to tell me about it.
Thanks for the update. Please do update us regarding a WordPress site on the same hosting platform for either a subdomain or subdirectory.

Something is blocking Site Kit scripts on your site, as evident from your 403 errors. From that screenshot you’ll see a failed GET request which you’re hosting provider will be able to access from your PHP error logs. This will contain further details of the error or block.
With regards the connecting, the plugin will connect your site with sitekit.withgoogle.com. I don’t suspect a problem in connecting with this resource, I suspect it’s something at host level blocking scripts. Your hosting provider can, however, perform some cURL checks such as the below:
curl -4 -I https://sitekit.withgoogle.com
The above will check the status if communication over IPv4curl -6 -I https://sitekit.withgoogle.com
The above will check the status if communication over IPv6I’ll also keep you informed once I have an update from the team regarding the recording you previously shared.
Just to let you know that I discussed your case with the team @gamadodragon. From reviewing your recording, the resources being blocked are not specific to Site Kit, (example 1, example 2).
Do let me know how you get on with a check with your hosting provider. In the event that there is something blocking resources at browser level, you may also wish to check or attempt Site Kit set up using another browser, preferably from another device.
Thank you for your advice.
First, based on your info, my provider replied to me as follows :

As a result of our confirmation, we can infer from the content of the error that at the time the error occurred, “.htaccess” was installed in

The error seemed to be caused by the “.htaccess” file. The “.htaccess” file does not exist now, but is the error still occurring?

However, still htaccess exists in my FTP files, so I told them this doesn’t fix the problem and wait for their further answer.
Meanwhile, I tried to Site Kit Setup(deleted G Site Kit Plugin and installed again) with Microsoft Edge at other laptop.
Still, it shows only blank.
I recorded the console errors at Microsoft edge, and posted the form.
Also, the reason why I have been trying to use G Site Kit is to change Google Analytics to 4 property.
Then, could you advise me how to setup G Analytics 4 property without using G Site Kit?
Thanks for the update @gamadodragon.
Regarding your .htaccess file, you can refresh this by visiting your websites permalinks (Settings > Permalinks). If you click on “Save changes”, without having even made changes, this will refresh your .htaccess file.
Also, the reason why I have been trying to use G Site Kit is to change Google Analytics to 4 property.
Then, could you advise me how to setup G Analytics 4 property without using G Site Kit?
You already have a non Site Kit placed Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tag placed on your site, see this screenshot from reviewing your sites source code. I also confirmed that tracking on this tag is working as expected by reviewing your site using tagassistant.google.com.
So to summarize, your GA4 tags are already working. Regarding why your Site Kit dashboard is not loading, there are scripts being blocked, some which are not even Site Kit scripts. From reviewing your case with the team this is likely something at host level causing these blocks. If you’re able to set up a new site from the same hosting platform please check does the same occur.
Thank you for your advice about G Site Kit and Google analytics 4 property.
My host provider found out that permission of the directory of Gamadodragon was wrong.
The problem was fixed when I changed the permission.
So, finally this problem was solved.
James, I really appreciate your sincere effort to stick with me without giving it up.
Fyi, I referred my host provider’s advice to me.

We would appreciate it if you could try changing the permission (current attribute) of “/gamadodragon/wp-content/plugins/” to “755” to see if the error occurs again.

Thank you, James!
Nice find @gamadodragon! Appreciate you sharing this with is. This will be most useful should other users encounter the same error, while we’ll also do some testing to check whether these specific blocks are common with file permission issues.
Be sure to get in touch if you have any further Site Kit queries. If you have a moment free please also consider leaving a plugin review after you get a chance to test out the dashboard and features.
