Hi, 1st of all: thank you for this awesome plugin!

I’m trying to achieve a fuzzy search where I can type something like “huertas” and it must finde “huerta” without the S at the end.

I’ve tried adding SOUNDEX to the query inside function wp_es_custom_query but it didn’t work.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you again. Best regards

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback!

The partial match is already a default setting of WPES. But it will not work in the case you asked. It should work if you search for huerta then it should match huerta and huertas both words. This is how fuzzy search works with most of the search plugins, matching start, end or sub-string of the content against keyword.

What you are asking is possible with MySQL full text search + some add-ons for natural language processing. Which is not the feature of WPES yet.

Alternatively, I can suggest you to add a custom field to posts e.g. keywords and define your keywords separated with space. Then include this custom field in search setting. This should do the job.

    I hope it helps.
