Future of WordPress

  • In the future I can see WP branching off in three directions

    1. WordPress: Blog; where one basically blogs. Rather minimal, just posts, no sidebar, an archive page and a category page. Admin is bare bones too.

    2. WordPress: Web Site; Which is what we have now. Only dedicated to building web sites with a fixed static homepage and splash page.

    3. WordPress: Wiki; The various wiki plugins for WP expanded to support a wiki
