    Hi there,
the latest release of WPML (3.8.0) comes with the same feature provided by this plugin, in particular:

Added support for assigning a language to any widget, in order to limit the display of widgets only to specific languages

This means that the plugin will be no longer necessary, but I am a bit worried about the future of existing sites already using WPML Widgets plugin.
Will the plugin be maintained? Is there some migration tool or out-of-the-box compatibility between WPML Widgets and the new WPML feature?

    Thank you!

    Hi Marco,

The plugin will continue to exist as is and maintained if needed. The WPML team has made sure it works nicely when WPML Widgets is already active.

I’m not sure if they use the same option names / have a migration available to transfer the existing settings, thats a best question asked to their team.

    Regards,
    Jeroen
